We recently received the state permit for this mining lease. The deposit is visible from the bluff side and is 35 feet deep at the bluff. Practically all layers are valuable 1″ ~ 2″ thick flagstone, and hard and smooth. The color is some of the richest brown that I have seen. This quarry should produce at high rates for decades to come.
We located this property after finding another spectacular location on the same bluff, which I decided to pass on due to access issues. Another larger mining company did open that quarry and have begun producing from it. This property appears to be a better spot for a few different reasons.
The stone is a very rich brown color. Hard, smooth and nice big sheets of flagstone are visible all around the location, at all layers.
